Heart Fashion. Heart You.: Ways to Give Back this Christmas Season

So, the holidays are a time for family to get together and share the Christmas spirit. Along with that Christmas spirit, there are always the fabulous presents that come along with it. But have you thought about the people who won't be receiving gifts this season? For example, the homeless man on the corner or a family that you know is in need of financial help. I'll provide ways to give back that will help you to help someone else this season. Giving is not all about money, it's about the person. Even if you are not financially able, I'll list other ways that you can give back to someone in your community.

Ways to Give Back

*Volunteer at your local soup kitchen

*Donate gently worn clothes and shoes to the nearest Salvation army

*Give away old toys or buy new ones for the Toys for Tots Charity

*Ask your church about a family in need of financial assistance

*Give to the American Red Cross

*Donate a child's coat to Coats for Kids

As you can see, there are many ways to give back in your community. Christmas is not a season of selfishness so let us all inhabit the spirit of Christmas and donate this season.
